Managing the development and delivery of training programs involves bringing together multiple moving parts to arrive at an effective and efficient solution to meet the needs of both your learners and the business. As a training manager, you must work with stakeholders and other internal and external contributors to manage and execute complex projects related to your training initiatives. This includes making critical decisions regarding how to best develop and deliver your training content.
In this course, you will learn key processes and frameworks to help organize and optimize your training development and delivery projects. You will also complete a capstone project based on a training program you are currently developing or are planning to develop. At this time, you will be able to discuss the steps involved in that program’s development and delivery.
After earning this certificate, you will be able to:
-
Develop and deliver training programs using best practices to ensure your programs’ success.
-
Break down the tasks involved in training program development and delivery to build a realistic training plan.
-
Choose the best delivery modalities to match your content, resources and learner needs.
- Determine and manage the personnel and other resources required to develop and deliver training.
-
Optimize training program roll out and delivery messaging to set expectations and encourage buy-in.
- Develop an evaluation feedback loop that communicates impact messaging for your training programs.

This program is based on Training Industry’s research-backed Training Manager Competency Model™ which specifies the core responsibilities of a training manager and the competencies needed to perform them successfully. Unlike the Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM™) program this is not a certification program but rather a certificate, where you will be awarded a digital badge upon completion of the course.
What language(s) is the certificate available in?
Currently, all Training Industry Courses are available in U.S. English.
Do I have to be in an L&D role to take this course? Are there prerequisites?
You do not need to currently be in an L&D role to participate in this course. The program offers you plenty of hands-on experience and is ideal for anyone who is looking to optimize the creation and delivery of training programs. It is applicable for those at all levels of experience and backgrounds, and the prework is designed to give each learner the support they need to create a foundational understanding of training development and delivery processes.
Is there a session that’s in my time zone?
Course session dates are offered across different time zones to include morning and evening sessions. To view all available session dates and times, click the dropdown at the top of the page under Virtual Sessions. If you need help selecting a session date or with anything else, you can schedule a free consultation with a professional development representative.
Is there an exam at the end of the course that I need to pass?
There is no exam associated with any of Training Industry’s certificate programs or workshops. You are only required to attend and participate in the live, virtual instructor-led session in order to complete the course.
Does the certificate expire? Will I still have access to the training materials after completing the course?
There is no expiration for the Training Development and Delivery Certificate program. Once you pass, you will retain access to Training Industry’s LMS and will be able to reference the course material at any time.
